Recently, the first domestic charitable trust for deaf language and cultural education, "China Minsheng Trust -- 2020 Jiaotong University SAIF Language Bridging Charity Trust", was successfully filed with the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Civil Affairs, which is also the first multi-grantor charitable trust handled by the trustee, China Minsheng Trust Co., Ltd.

It is reported that the grantors of the charitable trust are mainly the alumni of the 16th EMBA program of Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance of Jiao Tong University (hereinafter referred to as "JT SAIF"), 42 people in total. The charity fund mainly supports the language bridging charity program initiated by JT SAIF and the School of Linguistic Sciences and Arts of Jiangsu Normal University. In particular, it is aimed at funding outstanding young teachers who support "special education schools" in Lijiang, Yunnan and Daliangshan, Sichuan and outstanding deaf students for their university education, etc. Specifically, the charity program consists of two parts: Firstly, it aims to help school-age children who suffer from language impairments (mainly deaf children) with language rehabilitation and education, led by deaf teachers providing an environment for deaf children to learn sign language, and help deaf adults address their employment issues; secondly, it is to subsidize outstanding deaf students to attend university, hoping to solve the higher education issue of impoverished deaf high school graduates.

Senior Partner Zhang Hao and Lawyer Ran Jin of Shanghai Yingdong Law Firm were assigned as legal advisors for the charitable trust project, providing end-to-end legal services for the establishment and filing of the project, including but not limited to the design of the trust transaction structure, drafting and amending legal documents of trust, and providing legal opinions. Besides, Yingdong was invited to be the trust supervisor of the charitable trust, providing trust monitoring services for its operations, which not only gives full play to the Firm’s role as a third-party professional organization, but also highlights the Firm’s active attitude towards social responsibility.
