• Personal introduction
Stanley graduated from Jiaotong University Medical College and was admitted to the Bar in 1997. Stanley went to the UK in 1999, as a member of Training Program for Chinese Young Lawyers jointly held by the Justice Ministry of China and Law Society of England and Wales. Under such Program, Stanley studied English law in the SOAS of University of London and was placed with Simmons & Simmons London Headquarters and Hong Kong Office. Stanley obtained CPE Diploma from the College of Law of England and Wales in 2001.
Stanley practiced Chinese law with Trans Asia Lawyers in 2001 after returning from the UK and worked for the News Corp. China operation from 2002 to 2010 as its Legal Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel.
Stanley Chen joined Yingdong Law Firm 2014.
Stanley Chen has good and deep working relationship with following clients, providing a wide range of legal services for the, e.g. drafting, reviewing and revising legal documents, providing legal advice for routine operations, ensuring legal compliance and involved in specific projects, engaged in litigation on behalf of the clients:

Stanley was actively involved, in his capacity of Legal Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel for News Corp., in the following projects (internally or working closely with external counsels):
(1) BSkyB and CCTV-9 satellite channel cross landing project;
(2) Fox Cable Networks and CCTV-9 satellite channel cross landing project;
(3) Channel [V] and Shanghai Media Group (“SMG”) joint venture project;
(4) STAR and Beijing Entertainment and Media Corporation joint venture project;
(5) News Corporation, GemStar and CCTV joint venture project;
(6) STAR and Hunan Media Group strategic cooperation project;
(7) STAR and various PRC ISPs (e.g. Linktone, Sina, Sohu, Tom, Magus) wireless business cooperation projects;
(8) China Music Award, the most prominent annual Chinese music award;
(9) Summer Shake 2004, the first outdoor music festival in China; and
(10) The first wholly foreign owned advertising company established under CEPA.
